TGP Offers Neopariés® and Neopariés® LT
Modern alternative to stone surfacing material
KIRKLAND, Wash. Technical Glass Products (TGP) is pleased to now be the exclusive North American distributor of Neopariés®. This unique architectural product is made of crystallized glass ceramic and provides an outstanding alternative to natural stone. Neopariés has a highly reflective surface and a textured appearance that give it a bright, contemporary feel.
Commonly used for cladding interior and exterior walls, Neopariés can also be used for counters and tabletops. Neopariés is lighter and stronger than granite and more resistant to scratching and abrasion than marble.
Neopariés is virtually impermeable. It is not subject to freeze-thaw damage, and it can't be penetrated by rust, mortar or other staining substances. Neopariés is significantly more resistant to acids, alkalis, oils and other chemical substances than either marble or granite. Unlike stone, its surface and physical properties do not degrade even after years of exposure to environmental pollutants, including acid rain. As a result, Neopariés has become a popular choice for architects designing high traffic public facilities such as airports and subway stations.
Contaminants are easily removed during regular building maintenance. Even graffiti can be cleaned without difficulty. The non-porous surface makes Neopariés ideally suited for kitchen countertops and cooking areas, since it won't absorb spills.
Neopariés is available in a variety of colors that offer consistency unmatched by natural stone. Even white is available, which allows for large expanses of continuous color without the veining or streaking common to other alternatives.
Additionally, Neopariés can be formed into curved panels for columns and flowing wall designs where right angles are not desirable.
With an extremely low coefficient of expansion, Neopariés is not subject to the thermal cracking that can affect other cladding materials. And you won't find the fissure and fracture patterns that commonly occur in quarried stone. With greater bending strength, Neopariés also can be fabricated into thinner panels than natural stone (Neopariés is 10mm to 15mm thick).
