General Summary

The Project Manager uses their excellent communication skills to manage fire-rated and architectural frame projects, and associated customer service issues by becoming the customer’s primary post-sale contact. The range of projects may include all product types offered by Technical Glass Products (TGP), including but not limited to, Designer, Heat Barrier, Curtainwall, Hardwood, Aluminum Series, as well as TGP Architectural products such as Neoparies and Profilit. Though primarily responsible for a single territory or region grouping, the Project Manager will also backup others in the department when needed.

Essential Functions

Manage customer relationship post-sale.
Administer each Project through entire lifecycle including but not limited to:

• Creating Order Entry.
• Submitting drawings, product data, and samples to customer as needed for approval.
• Interpreting construction drawings, architectural drawings, and mechanical drawings; applying knowledge of best practices for drafting.
• Receiving, interpreting, and communicating revisions or requests for change with internal teams and with client.
• Controlling potential change orders.
• Notifying customer of schedule changes and any related impact.
• Releasing orders to production team and leading team meeting(s) as needed.
• Reconciling and collecting any prepayments required up to time of final invoice.
• Coordinating release of shipment with in-house logistics group.
• Monitoring and reporting on project status at various points in lifecycle. Resolve post-delivery issues (Customer Service Issues) including but not limited to:
  • Listen to and document complaint from customer.
  • Work interdepartmentally as needed to identify root cause.
  • Interpret data to determine if customer should be charged.
  • Manage and document all costs associated with post-delivery issues.

Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills

A minimum of six (6) years of project management experience in a related manufacturing, construction or related customer service environment. Successful candidates will have experience in scheduling; managing multiple competing projects with lifecycles of several weeks to several months; and providing detailed technical expertise in troubleshooting complex mechanical/electrical systems.

Position Reports To: Frame Fabrication Manager | FLSA: Exempt

General Summary

TGP’s Production Supervisors are responsible for managing an assigned production area to ensure policy, leadership, quality, on-time and efficiency performance goals are met.

Essential Functions

• Ensures physical and workforce resources are adequate to meet production schedule.
• Directly supervise employees in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws including interviewing, hiring and training.
• Lead Process Based Management activity and explore other efficiency opportunities.
• Provide daily job status updates for in process work in assigned areas.
• Serve as backup to other supervisors as needed.
• Serve as voice on manufacturability issues on cross functional teams.
• Provide policy and leadership.
• Plan, assign and direct work.
• Appraise performance.
• Reward and discipline employees as required.
• Manage activities of production personnel, including timekeeping, workflow, fabrication and assembly methods and work force utilization.
• Supervise, establish and coordinate the production schedule.
• Ensure the flow of materials, parts and assemblies to meet on-time requirements.
• Review and evaluate workflow process.
• Implement initiatives to improve production efficiency and capacity.
• Initiate corrective actions to get NCR’s resolved.
• Operate all equipment per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), in a safe manner.
• Writes Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) as required.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal team members and external customers.

Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience in manufacturing & resource planning.
• Strong leadership skills with an ability to manage both personal and team’s work load and to prioritize multiple tasks.

• Strong organizational and project management skills combined with a close attention to detail.

Position Reports To: Production Manager | FLSA: Exempt

General Summary

At Technical Glass Products the Maintenance Supervisor will oversee all aspects of building and equipment maintenance for the organization. This hands on manager will independently perform and/or direct the maintenance function in a proactive manner in all facets of the department; responsibilities include building maintenance, the maintenance of manufacturing and supporting equipment, overseeing subcontractors, managing to a schedule and budget, updating and maintaining maintenance software, and writing SOP’s. The supervisor will work closely with other internal departments to ensure that maintenance activities are performed in alignment with production schedules.

Essential Functions

• Lead and manage the maintenance function in a safe and profitable manner.
• Perform and/or coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs of manual and CNC manufacturing equipment.
• Perform and or coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance/repairs of all production and facilities equipment, i.e. air compressors, fire extinguishing and sprinkler systems, forklifts, lifting equipment, HVAC system and filtration systems.
• Install and/or oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all new and existing production and production support equipment.
• Oversee and schedule all third party maintenance and support activities.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure maintenance activities are performed in alignment with production schedules.
• Initiate and maintain records within the maintenance electronic tracking system and write SOP’s as required.
• Ensure safety policies and procedures for performing maintenance activities are in place and comply with all State and Federal requirements. Follow all building code requirements.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and secure work area.
• Support 5S, lean and continuous improvement activities.

Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills

• Formal degree or certificate in a technical area or related field required.
• Minimum seven years of experience in an industrial manufacturing maintenance environment. 2 years of welding experience preferred.
• Able to trouble shoot, repair and or make recommendations, and perform root cause analysis.
• Working knowledge of following policies for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing facilities, building systems, and production equipment.
• Must be able to interpret mechanical drawings, equipment specifications, diagrams, and operating and service manuals.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of machine controls and PLC controllers, vacuum and hydraulic systems, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical systems, such as those used on punch presses, conveyor and washing systems, and gas furnaces.
• Proficient in the use of power tools, measuring devices, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance practices, and working in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to perform electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and plumbing repairs.
• Works collaboratively with internal customers and outside contractors.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and preventative maintenance software.
• Ability to obtain and maintain certification to operate material handling equipment, i.e. forklift, elevated work platform, and overhead crane.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to work at heights. Ability to travel within USA and Canada.
